It is art that brings to life emotions and without it, life would have been too mundane with no place for aesthetics. Contrary to the physical world where we earn our bread and butter, we also have the world of art where all out faculties of perception are aroused for aesthetic pleasure. The happiness that we receive by watching a play or some beautiful dance performance is over and above the one that we receive by closing a big deal. Though earning money is no less inferior to humans but artistic pleasure that we receive by watching a movie or going to a theatre is in its own sense far superior aesthetically.
Traditional art forms involve an artist and it gets new dimension when it is combined with art objects thus making it performing arts. Dance, music, opera, theatre, magic, spoken word, circus arts and musical theatre are all included in performing arts. It is said that in combination with the art objects such as the lighting effects, costumes or some art form used during the performance enhances the overall appeal of the presentation and conveys its essence in a better way than a plain artistic performance by an artist. Theatrical performances are part of performing arts where performers perform on the stage along with the presence of aiding art objects such as lighting or other stuff that further enhances the effect of the performance. In theatre speech, gesture, music, dance, sound, and spectacle besides others are used to produce an overall effect. By using materials such as clay metal or paint, making various art objects out of it furthers the appeal of the performance. The materials can take the required forms and are molded to be used to change the appearance of the performers, such as with costumes and also changing the stage set by colors, objects or lighting effect.
